Postponement Information

The safety and wellbeing of all participants in the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show will always be our top priority. Due to the extraordinary spread of the Omicron variant in New York City at this time and the disruptions, it is currently creating in travel and event management, the Board of Governors of the Westminster Kennel Club has made the difficult decision to postpone our January show until a later date in 2022.

  • Conformation and Obedience Exhibitors:
    • A complete refund of all January 2022 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show entries is currently being processed. Although the venue and date of our 2022 show have yet to be determined, the Club is pleased to announce that all entries accepted for the January 2022 event will be given "invited" status for the purpose of entering the postponed show. As a result, there will be no change in the respective qualifying periods for the 2022 or 2023 shows.

      The intention of the Club is to invite all prior entrants to submit a new entry for the postponed show, prior to the receipt of entries from previously non-entered participants. This includes all breed, obedience, and junior handlers. Please note that breed and obedience entries are "dog specific." Juniors who qualified and were entered will be invited again, regardless of age. No substitutions allowed. Following the processing of all those invitees who submit valid entries, additional entries will be accepted until the show limit is reached.

      Further details regarding the 2022 show and full instructions for entering will appear in a revised and forthcoming premium list.

 

  • Agility Exhibitors:
    • As Agility entry fee checks have not yet been deposited, all checks will be destroyed. Although the venue and date of our 2022 show have yet to be determined, the Club is pleased to announce that all entries accepted for the January 2022 event will be given "invited" status for the purpose of entering the postponed show. The intention of the Club is to invite all prior entrants to submit a new entry for the postponed trial, prior to the receipt of entries from previously non-entered participants. Please note that entries are "dog specific." No substitutions of dogs will be allowed. Following the processing of all those invitees who submit valid entries, additional entries will be accepted until the trial limit is reached. Further details regarding the 2022 trial and full instructions for entering will appear in a revised and forthcoming premium list.

 

  • Ticket holders:
    • Please be advised that we will be refunding our purchases in full to the original form of payment. As this is a huge undertaking, please allow two weeks for processing. 
       
    • We have currently processed all credit card purchases for refund, please check your bank for a credit.  If you paid by check, they will be put in the mail by January 20th.

 

  • Catalogue Advertisers:
    • Thank you for placing an ad in our 2022 show catalogue.  As you may know by now, our January show has been postponed.  Please let us know if you would like a refund on your ad or would like to have it remain for the New Show Date-TBD. 
       
    • If you would like a refund, it will be refunded on the original form of payment.  Due to the large volume please allow 2 weeks for processing. Thank you supporting our show.
